About
The Photographer
I recently relocated my home and business
to the Phoenix area.
I have been interested in photography from my younger years when my primary
focus were limousines (hey everyone has to start somewhere!). Shortly
after entering High School I took up an interest in yearbook, but ended
up as
business manager instead of photographer, but also worked as a "back-up"
for the staff photographers. During this time my dad purchased a new
35mm Minolta which was too fancy for him, so I shot with it more
than he did.
I then took a risk and stepped out from
my comfort zone behind the camera for a short
stint in my late teens as a model. After just a few shoots I realized
I was more comfortable
behind the camera looking through the lens. I think this experience gave
me a better
understanding of what the models go through during a shoot, and I keep
my experience
in mind especially when working with newer models.
Since the first digital camera was release
I was fascinated with the technology,
but up until just a few years ago relied heavily on my Cannon 35mm (Film).
Since making the switch to digital I haven't looked back - I love the
flexibility that
digital photography offers, and the joys that it brings.
While pursing my love of photography I am always happy to meet others
who
have an interest in photography, no matter if it is behind or in front
of the camera.
